Starting from 1 July 2020:
- employers can bring employees back to work that were previously furloughed for any amount of time and any shift pattern.
- employees can still claim under the Scheme for their normal hours not worked up to a certain limit.
In order to be able to claim for the grant, a written agreement must be put in place with the employee relating to any new flexible furloughing arrangement.
Employers can claim the grant for the hours their employees are not working.
Employers will need to report hours worked and the usual hours an employee would be expected to work in a claim period.
The rules do change so it's important that you are aware of these developments, but here's the Government link so that you can check your eligibility to the Scheme:
